This Weekend

I was busy this weekend! I started with two cakes for a friend's daughters. They celebrate their birthday within the same month so Dad decided to allow them each to invite 4 friends for a hotel slumber party. I tied their favorite colors into cakes that featured the images of their friends too!
Saturday was cupcake day! The first batch was for a little girl and her friends celebrating at a garden party-- they planted seeds and made hats so I made flowerpot cupcakes with dirt and worms topped with sugar cookie "flowers"!
The second batch was for a little girl celebrating her fourth birthday at a local bookstore with a reading of the book Pinkalicious. Apparently, the little girl turns pink from eating too many pink cupcakes-- I hope this doesn't happen to my clients or I'll be out of business! I duplicated the cupcakes from the book.
The final cupcake event of the day was for a wedding shower. I used beautiful cupcake wrappers created by my fabulous scrapbooking friend Katie! The flavors were strawberry with cream cheese icing, red velvet with cream cheese icing, double chocolate with fudge buttercream icing, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate mocha and chocolate mint.
Sunday brought one last effort: a baseball themed party! I made a nearly-life-sized bat and baseball cupcakes.
